Apulia is known for its magnificent coastal features, fabulous beaches and caves as well as for the role played by religion. As far as religion goes, we would recommend a visit to San Giovanni Rotondo, where the Saint Padre Pio is buried since 2010 as well as to the cave of Monte Sant’Angelo that marks the appearance of the Arcangel Michael.
It is well worth taking the car to visit the Paleo Christian church in Siponto or the archaeological site in Manfredonia. Your experience in Apulia would not be complete without strolling along the wide and long beach of Vieste or the “Trabucchi” (wooden fishing machines built over the rocky coast).
In Margherita di Savoia you can revive and beautify your body in the Thermal Facilities. If you want to spend a day among plants, flowers and animals, enjoy the peace of “Foresta Umbra”, in the very heart of Gargano.
Or you can explore the unique stretch of coast trough a boat trip arranged from June until September. When the boat stops, you can either dip in the sea or sip prosecco!
You are not willing to drive? Our staff will help you! Our partner has a fleet of bikes available to hire so that you can explore the unique landscape and the varied nature of Gargano!
Nearby landmarks are the “Caves of Castellana” or the “Trulli” in Alberobello (traditional stone houses).
